I live in a small town in the middle of Wisconsin so I always like when I get the chance to travel to big cities. I have been to Chicago 3 times in my life and have been to many restaurants there that I enjoyed. These are some Chicago restaurants that I recommend trying.
The first time I went to Chicago was in October 2004. I went to Ed Debevic’s. I liked it a lot because I like 50’s diners. I had the All-American Grilled Cheese and fries with cheese sauce. If you like 50’s style diners this is a great restaurant to go to.
The last time I went to Chicago was May 2014 for my 30th birthday. I went with my mom and we stayed for 3 days and went to a lot of great restaurants.
The first day
1 North. 1 North Wacker Drive. I had a 1 North Grilled Cheese there. The Grilled Cheese had Tillamook cheddar, gruyere, american cheese, and roasted tomato on brioche.
The second day
Yolk. A great breakfast restaurant. There are 5 locations of Yolk in Chicago I went to the 355 E Ohio St location. I had a Build-A-Scrambler with avocado, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese with Sour Dough bread.
Signature Lounge at the 95th. I had Vanilla Creme Brulee and the Raspberry Fizz.
Catch 35. There are 2 locations, We went to 35 W Wacker Drive one. I had Maine Lobster Sliders and Baby Greens Salad with maytag blue cheese dressing. My mom had Chilean Sea Bass.
The third day
Heaven On Seven. We went to the 111 N. Wabash location. I had Bananas Foster Pancakes and my mom had Bananas Foster French Toast. The Bananas Foster Pancakes were good. I tried some of the Bananas Foster French Toast and I liked that better.
